D2 has high wear resistance, micro-deformation cold work die steel, wind hardening tool steel, carbon content up to 1.5%, chromium content up to 11.5%, heat treatment hardness up to 60HRC. D2 steel can be applied as silicon steel sheet die, cold cutting scissors, cutting die, etc.

Compare with the GB Cr12Mo1V1 steel, the US D2 steel, Japan SKD11 steel, although the chemical composition of the three is the same, the performance is different. After heat treatment, the color of domestic steel is slightly orange-red, the deformation is generally large, and the fatigue fracture is easy to occur accidentally in actual use. D2 steel color is cold white, hardness is lower than SKD11 steel, toughness is not as good as SKD11 steel, high stress is prone to small gaps; SKD11 steel is glossy and has the best comprehensive performance.
