AISI 4130 continuous casting billet is the primary semi-finished raw material for chromium-molybdenum alloy structural steel, produced via molten steel continuous casting process. Compared with traditional ingot forging blanks, continuous casting billets feature stable chemical composition, uniform section structure, high production efficiency and cost advantages, serving as the base material for hot rolling round bars, seamless tubes and small forgings. Its Chinese equivalent grade is 30CrMo, widely used for high-toughness lightweight structural components in automotive, petroleum and aerospace industries.

Production & Structural Features
The continuous casting process realizes one-step forming of square/rectangular steel billets. Strict secondary refining reduces harmful inclusions, while controlled cooling lessens central segregation and shrinkage porosity. The billet surface retains natural black oxide scale without extra machining. After hot rolling or forging from CC billets, the finished steel maintains stable hardenability and consistent mechanical properties.
Standard heat treatment: quenching at 860–890℃ + high-temperature tempering 480–620℃, tensile strength reaches 830–980 MPa with excellent low-temperature toughness. It supports annealing cold forming, welding and nitriding surface strengthening.
Main Application Fields
- Petroleum machinery: raw blank for 4130 seamless alloy drill pipes, wellhead fittings and hydraulic pressure pipelines bearing underground torsion and impact.
- Automotive & motorcycle industry: chassis control arms, frame tubes, heavy wheel hub blanks and medium-load transmission shafts.
- Aerospace & racing equipment: lightweight high-toughness structural frames, landing gear small components and shock-resistant connecting parts.
- Construction machinery: small forged pin shafts, hydraulic cylinder blanks and medium-strength gear blanks requiring impact resistance.
Continuous casting 4130 billets are supplied in multiple square section sizes, with stable batch supply and competitive cost. It is the most cost-effective base material for mass production of 4130 alloy steel finished products.
